Equipped for jazz, chamber music, folk, and a variety of other musical styles, with engineers well-versed in all of the above.
Heartwood uses a once-common technique involving a dedicated echo chamber to add natural reverb to mixes and live recordings using a converted subterranean boiler room with poured-concrete ceiling, floor, and walls.
Ability to satellite amplifiers into separate rooms for isolation and potential overdubbing, including a 4200 sq ft lumberyard w/ 30 ft. arched ceilings adjacent to studio.
A mix of precision, classic, rare, and oddball microphones - including new and vintage ribbon, condenser, and moving coil microphones to suit a wide variety of sources and recording applications.
